You can use it as both in the same application. Apply it dry as a mask and leave for 5 minutes — the kaolin clay and cacao work to purify and boost radiance. Then add warm water and massage it in — the coconut shell particles activate as a gentle scrub as you rinse. You get the benefits of both steps in one product.
Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
The formula uses kaolin — one of the gentlest clays — and upcycled coconut shell particles which are finer and less abrasive than many synthetic scrub beads. It is free from synthetic fragrances, SLS, and harsh actives. However, if your skin is very reactive, we recommend patch testing on a small area first and limiting use to once a week.
Why do I need to use dry hands?
The natural sugar extracts in the formula are activated by water — they transform the product into a creamy milk when wet. Using dry hands to scoop from the jar prevents premature activation and preserves the texture and shelf life of the product.
Are the coconut shell particles plastic-free?
